Campground Policies

GENERAL CAMPGROUND RULES:

We are big believers in being good neighbors.

Be respectful and friendly and everyone will be able to have a great time!

Quiet hours:   11pm to 8am. No amplified music during quiet hours and keep sound to a minimum. We do patrol regularly, but if a guest is being problematic do not hesitate to call us! If they are bothering you, they are likely bothering others!

Arrival after store hours: 11pm is quiet hours on the campground. We ask that you use hushed voices and keeping lighting contained within your site(s) if you must arrive late.  Generally just be curteous to other campers! 

Trees:  We love our woods and wish to keep them thriving through the generations.  You will be fined if any trees are felled or damage is done to a living tree.  If there is a limb or tree that you are concerned about, contact us and we will handle it.  Charges can include but are not limited to the following:

$20 per axe strike

min of $50 per limb removed

Market replacement value of any felled trees or  if damage is deemed fatal.  Big trees get expensive.

In an ideal world, we never have to fine anyone and our trees remain healthy! 

Fires:  are allowed only in designated rings/pits. Fires must stay within the bounds of the fire ring. Please do not move our fire rings! If you do, you will be charged $50 to clean up and repair the damage caused.

Pets: are allowed everywhere on our property other than in the bathroom facility due to health codes. You are responsible for your pet at all times. Pets are required to be leashed at all times. We have a very nice fenced in run where you can allow you pet off leash. Please clean up any messes left by your pets!

Reservations: For reservations there is a minimum 2 night stay required, 3 night stay for during holidays. If sites/cabins are still available within a week of your desired vacation, we will allow shorter stays on cabins/campsites. Just give us a call to check!

Reservation Alterations: To make changes, just give us a call or email!  We're happy to make alterations to your stay provided it is more than 7 days out. We will make alterations 2 times for free, any further changes will be charged a $10 administrative fee.  No alterations of the date or duration of reservations will be made within 7 days of arrival. We are all human and sometimes there are extenuating circumstances, please give us a call in these cases.

Cancellations  Cancellations made greater than 7 days from arrival will be charged $20. 

Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival 

will be charged for the value of the 1st nights stay, with the remainder refunded. Cancellations made the day-of arrival and early check-outs will not be refunded.

No Smoking: No smoking allowed inside any accommodation or structure. There is a minimum $250 cleaning fee if smoking noted in cabin/cottage. You as our guest are responsible for any and all damage done during your stay. The financial amount will be determined by the Kal-Haven Outpost based upon the time and material cost to repair said damages.

Damage policy: You as our guest are responsible for any and all damage done by yourself or your party during your stay. The financial amount will be determined by the Kal-Haven Outpost based upon the cost to repair said damages and any lost revenues caused by said damage.  We reserve the right to charge a credit card that we have on file for any and all fines. 

Firewood:  No outside firewood is allowed within the campground due to state and local regulations. We do offer bundles and face cords for sale at our store.  Please call ahead if you want a face cord to ensure availability.

We reserve the right to make changes to our policies as deemed necessary with no prior notice. 

LODGING POLICIES

Check In Time:  4 pm or later. Early check in may be possible, just check with the office on the day of your arrival for availability. There is an additional 1/2 day charge for arrivals prior to 2 pm for Cabins/Cottages.

After hours check-in:  Please reach out to us in advance if you plan to arrive after our store hours, so we can get you the necessary information to check into your accomodation (i.e. Keys, codes..). If we haven't heard from you we will call you as we close up shop. If we haven't spoken to anyone directly we will leave a text, voicemail and email with the necessary information.

Check Out Time: 11 am or earlier. Extended check out may be possible, just check with the office on the day of your departure for availability. There is an additional 1/2 day charge for Cabins/Cottages for extended departures at 1:00 pm or later. If one remains after 4:00 pm, a full nights rate is charged as a fee unless a reservation extension is agreed upon by Kal-Haven Outpost.

Bedding: We include bedding, pillows and towels in all of our lodging accomodations for your convenience! If you desire additional pillows or bedding for the pull-out couch and are not paying for the extra people we charge $10 for use of the set. We can have it in your cabin and ready for you if you plan ahead!

Duplex units: The price listed is for 8 people, they can accommodate up to 10 people depending on your comfort level. There is an extra charge for any people beyond 8, the rate is $20/person/day.

Couples cabins:  The price listed is for 2 people, they can accommodate up to 4 people depending on your comfort level. There is an extra charge for any people beyond 4, the rate is $10/person/day.

Glamping tents: The price listed is for 2 people, they can accommodate up to 4 people depending on your comfort level. There is an extra charge for any people beyond 4, the rate is $10/person/day.

Skoolie: The list price is for 2 people. The Skoolie can only accommodate two individuals inside. If you would like to have a camping tent on the same site (there is plenty of room!) It will be $25 a night additional. Site can only accommodate 6 people maximum.

Open flames:  No open flame cooking allowed in Cabins, Duplex or Skoolie.

Pets: All of our accommodations allow pets, ($20 charge, up to 3 dogs). All damage that is associated from pets will be the responsibility of the guest.  Those staying in glamping tents most crate pets when away to prevent dage to canvas.

RV & PRIMITIVE SITE POLICIES

Check In Time: 3 pm or later. Early check in may be possible, just check with the office on the day of your arrival for availability. There is an additional 1/2 day charge for arrivals prior to  12pm for RV and tent sites.

After hours check-in:  We do not have an entrance gate, so you can go directly to your site and set up. 11pm is quiet hours on the campground. We just ask that you are curteous of other guests while arriving to the campground after our quiet hours start. Generally this means using hushed voices, not using your brights and using flashlights/headlamps rather than headlights to set up camp.

Check Out Time: 12pm or earlier. Extended check out may be possible, just check with the office on the day of your departure for availability. There is an additional 1/2 day charge for RV and Tent sites for extended departures at 2pm or later. If your party remains after 4:00 pm, a full nights rate is charged.  This is considered a fee unless a reservation extension is agreed to by Kal-Haven Outpost. 

Number of people per site: 

On the RV sites you may have a maximum of 8 people total.

On our primitive sites you can have a maximum of 6 people total.

Number of tents: 

On our RV sites: we allow shade tents for no extra charge.

You are allowed one sleeping tent for an additional $10 per night.

  On primitive sites: you may have the equivalent of two medium tents. (3 small one/two person tents, 2 medium tents or 1 large family tent)

Pets: Pets must remain on leash at all times except when inside fenced in dog park. All damage that is associated from the pets will be the responsibility of the guest.
